Day by day
Day 1
Day 1 – Arrival in San Pedro de Atacama and Valle de la Luna
Arrival at El Loa Airport in Calama, welcome reception, and shared transfer to the hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. The journey covers approximately 100 kilometers and takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
In the afternoon, set out to explore the Valle de la Luna and the Cordillera de la Sal. The tour winds through rocky formations, ravines, salt flats, and towering dunes, taking in highlights such as the Tres Marías, the Amphitheater, and the Canyon.
The day ends at the Licanantay Viewpoint, where the desert's shifting colors paint an unforgettable sunset, before returning to the hotel.
Day 5
Day 2 – Free day and stargazing
A free day to enjoy San Pedro de Atacama at your own pace — stroll through the town center, browse the local shops, unwind at the hotel, or explore the surroundings independently.
In the evening, head out for a stargazing experience in the Atacama Desert. Far from city lights, the sky reveals a breathtaking display of stars, planets, and constellations, with a guide on hand and telescopes available as part of the tour program.
Day 2
Day 3 – Valle del Arcoíris and Yerbas Buenas
Morning departure toward the Río Grande region to visit the Valle del Arcoíris, renowned for the vivid range of hues formed by the concentration of clays, salts, and minerals in the mountains.
The tour continues to Yerbas Buenas, where a walk allows you to admire petroglyphs and traces left by ancient Andean peoples. Return to San Pedro de Atacama around lunchtime.
Day 3
Day 4 – Piedras Rojas, Altiplanic Lagoons, and Laguna Chaxa
Morning departure for a full-day tour through the altiplano landscapes. The first part of the experience takes place in the Piedras Rojas and Salar de Aguas Calientes area, at an elevation of approximately 3,800 meters.
The itinerary continues to the Altiplanic Lagoons of Miscanti and Miñiques, framed by volcanoes and sweeping high-altitude scenery. Laguna Chaxa, in the Salar de Atacama, is also on the agenda — a wonderful spot to observe flamingos in their natural habitat.
On the return journey, the route passes through Socaire and the Tropic of Capricorn, arriving back in San Pedro de Atacama in the late afternoon.
Day 4
Day 5 – Tatio Geysers and departure from San Pedro de Atacama
An early-morning departure toward the Tatio Geysers, one of the largest geothermal fields in the Southern Hemisphere. Arrival takes place in the first hours of the morning, when the fumaroles are at their most active.
After the visit, enjoy an Andean breakfast surrounded by the scenery of the Andes Mountains. The return route passes through Vado de Putana and Machuca, a small village known for its adobe architecture and the Church of San Santiago.
Return to the hotel around midday. At the scheduled time, a shared transfer departs for El Loa Airport in Calama for your onward flight.
